Just a 22LR for plinking/target shooting at the range. I'll be looking for my first pistol soon. So far I really enjoy shooting this gun, although I am highly thinking about getting into reloading my ammo, a few friends already have all the gear needed to reload, all I will need to do is buy the materials. The gun hasn't been sighted in yet and was using its iron sights. This next target was at about 25 yards out I was around 10-15 yards with this target, after a few rounds I started to calm down but still was all over the target. I shot 3 targets total, with the first target I was still a bit nervous with the gun (as its new and my fist lever action rifle in a higher caliber). I wasn't going for accuracy as this was a initial test for any faults, after I was done, went to another friends house to show him my gun and to clean it out, I did notice a few screws that was loose that wasn't loose before shooting (a little loctight should remedy), but now its cycling much better now then when I first cycled it. The failure to eject could have very well been from user error (not fully cycling the lever) that happened on the 5th bullet but didn't happen again. Well anyways had 1 failure to load and 1 failure to eject, I ended up shooting 60 rounds, the failure to load was with the very first bullet I cycled (or tried to cycle), but didn't have any failure to load afterwards. the place i called had a 20rd box for $18 (got 5 boxes).
I called one of the shops around where he was picking his gun up (they was out of 30-30 as well).
Luckily today was the day my friend went to go pick up his 40cal Beretta (out of town). Had a hard time finding any 30-30 ammo locally, when I did its price was around $30-$50 per 20rd box.
Bought a Marlin 336w a few days ago and went to the range today.
